Painting

It was easy for me to choose a hobby to write about. I've always loved to paint and draw, or do anything related to art. Most little kids had a dream job, and for me it was being an artist. I would paint whenever given the opportunity. My grandma used to keep several sets of watercolour paints at her house for me. Watercolour was the only kind of paint I used as a kid, so when I started using acrylics I was so excited to be able to layer and mix paint. Today, my favourite kind of paint is oil, and my favourite things to paint are landscapes with lots of trees and mountains. Since Grade Eight, I've always chosen art as an elective. In art we do three main projects: a drawing, a painting, and a sculpture. You can imagine my favourite was the painting. I would love to make a career out of my hobby, but most art jobs require computers and graphic design, neither of which I'm experienced with or interested in. I think that art will remain a hobby for me, a way to relax and express creativity.

The pictures below are both painting I did by following a Bob Ross tutorial and using oil paint.
